IEDC 25^th anniversary scholarships

As an agent of positive change in the region and beyond, IEDC-Bled School of Management would like to celebrate its 25^th anniversary also by providing 25 scholarships aimed at supporting and promoting economic development and leadership in the emerging economies and at enriching the IEDC participant body with new countries from around the world under the slogan “25 years-25 countries -25 scholarships”.

Scholarships 

IEDC offers 25 scholarships in the amount of one-half the regular program fee for its longer programs starting in the year 2011 and/or 2012; these programs are:

• Executive MBA (one- and two-year EMBA), CLOSED
• General Management Program (GMP), CLOSED
• Young Managers Program (YMP), CLOSED
• Discover Management Program (DMP), CLOSED 
• Leadership for High Performing Teams (LHPT). CLOSED

Eligibility and application process

All scholarship applicants should fulfill program specific requirements (as stated in the admission section of each program web site) and in addition write a short essay (2 pages) on the topic “Change and Sustainable Innovation as Success Factors”. Accompanying documents should be a short CV and two recommendation letters by their superiors.

The applications and supporting materials should be sent to 25scholarships@iedc.si. The deadline for all the candidates to apply for any of the scholarships is 11.11.2011, but candidates are encouraged to apply sooner as the scholars will be evaluated and selected on a continuous basis till that time therfore the scholarships may be awarded before the official deadline.

Selection criteria

The applicants will be judged based on:

1. Intellectual merit: demonstrated by prior academic and professional achievement, and supported by high interview score given by the IEDC Faculty during the candidate one-on-one interview.

2. Originality: demonstrated in the essay through fresh ideas and outlooks on the topic of the essay as well as its relevance to the society at large. This will be judged by the IEDC academic council.

3. Diversity: a factor of nationality and professional experience, diversity criteria assures that each candidate makes significant contribution to the overall diversity of the incoming class.
