Faculty

IEDC has its own faculty, educated at Harvard, Stanford, Kellogg Business School, IMD, INSEAD and the London School of Economics, and more than 50 renowned visiting professors, many of them from the best European and North American business schools and other management development institutions from about 30 countries. The reliance on professors of different nationalities brings a real life appreciation of different cultures and perceptions right into the classroom. Close cooperation with numerous local and international management consultants contributes to successful interlinking and interaction of contemporary management theory and practice.

Baloh Peter

Dr. Peter Baloh is Associate Professor of Technology and Innovation Management at IEDC – Bled School of Management and a member of the executive board at BISOL – innovative and rapidly growing photovoltaic module producer and solar power plant solution provider. Additionally, he has founded and managed a niche consultancy firm Catch the Knowledge, and co-founded, edited and managed motosvet.com, Slovenia’s number one motorcycling media. Dr. Baloh holds a PhD and MSc in Information Systems and Management at University of Ljubljana Faculty of Economics; and a MPhil degree in Knowledge Management from a 6* RAE IRIS-Informatics Research Institute at University of Salford Business School, Manchester, UK. His research interests lie in the areas of (1) management of technology and innovation, (2) strategic project management, (3) learning and knowledge management. These are considered through the lens of successful implementation in various organizational settings, specializing in showing the role of contemporary Information and Communication Technologies in the mentioned areas. The focus is on providing organizations operationalizable advice in how to adopt new ways of doing things when securing and achieving competitive advantages.
