Faculty

IEDC has its own faculty, educated at Harvard, Stanford, Kellogg Business School, IMD, INSEAD and the London School of Economics, and more than 50 renowned visiting professors, many of them from the best European and North American business schools and other management development institutions from about 30 countries. The reliance on professors of different nationalities brings a real life appreciation of different cultures and perceptions right into the classroom. Close cooperation with numerous local and international management consultants contributes to successful interlinking and interaction of contemporary management theory and practice.

Gatti Luca

Luca GattiDr. Luca Gatti is a founding partner of a Strategy & Foresight Consulting firm X-sights.

His initial training in the Human Sciences led him to graduate at the University of London, where he obtained a BA in History of Art and a PhD in History. This was followed by a Postgraduate specialisation at the Scuola Normale di Pisa. He has been active in many international research institutions, and was a Fellow of Harvard University and an Assistant Professor at the Collége de France in Paris. In Paris Luca collaborated with UNESCO on several international cooperation projects with a focus on Cultural Heritage as a resource for sustainable economic and social development, which eventually led to a period of activity in India.

On his return to Europe Luca has been engaged as Senior Advisor to the President of the Province of Milan for International Relations and Cooperation. During his time with the Provincia Luca fostered a long-term strategic approach to local development, and a systemic and competitive promotional activity in support of local businesses and institutions. Most recently Luca was Advisor to the President of the Italian National Research Council during its restructuring phase in the area of international and institutional relations and scientific cooperation.

As a Strategy consultant Luca has been working with private corporations and public institutions. He brings to his activity a strong analytical approach, a profound intercultural competence, a forward-looking inspirational attitude to learning and innovating, high level facilitation skills, and a strong experience in coordinating and managing long-term international projects.
