Prof. Casse and Prof. Purg lecture to over 140 managers in two BiH cities

Sarajevo and Tuzla (BiH), 17 April 2007

In two days, Prof. Pierre Casse, professor of leadership and Academic Dean of Berlin School of Creative Leadership, and Prof. Danica Purg, Dean and Director of IEDC-Bled School of Management and President of CEEMAN, lectured to over 140 business people from BiH: Prof. Casse lectured to the IEDC alumni from BiH and guests from the Sarajevo business community and Prof. Purg to the members and guests of the The Chamber of Economy of Tuzla Canton.

In Sarajevo, the IEDC-Bled School of Management and the IEDC alumni club BiH have organized a seminar with Prof. Pierre Casse, a well-known professor of leadership, entitled "Leadership Fundamentals of a Fast Changing World" and sponsored by the Širbegović Group. The participants have examined the fundamentals of leadership with reference to a fast changing world and reviewed some of the key challenges leaders are facing today, while professor Casse presented also a leadership model for a follow-up action. Almost 90 business people, IEDC alumni and guests, among them many prominent managers of BiH business community, including Mr. Faruk Širbegović, have greatly appreciated professor’s inspiring and dynamic lecture. They showed a lot of interest in the topic and participated in the discussion till the very end. Moreover, 3.500 EUR were collected our of symbolic tuition fees, that will go to a scholarship fund for students from BiH to attend the IEDC programs.

In Tuzla, the IEDC-Bled School of Management, The Chamber of Economy of Tuzla Canton and the Colosseum agency have organized a seminar of Prof. Danica Purg on "Effective Manager: Team Work and Time Management", attended by over 50 managers from the Tuzla Canton and guests from business community, who were pleased to have the opportunity to explore team profiles and roles, factors influencing teams’ and their leaders’ efficiency and various stages in team development, while they also had a chance to make their own team profile. The participants were highly satisfied with the lecture and expressed their interest in further cooperation with the IEDC.
