IEDC welcomes a delegation from BI Norvegian School of Management


Bled (Slovenia), 19 November 2004


The IEDC-Bled School of Management welcomed a high-level delegation from Norway, consisting of 14 Deans and Directors from the BI Norwegian School of Management, one of Norway's largest educational institutions, which hosts Norway’s largest academic mileu within the areas of business economics and administration, marketing and management.


The high-level guests were received by Prof. Danica Purg, Dean and Director of IEDC, and Prof. Nenad Filipoviæ, Deputy Director of IEDC, both presenting some key facts about Slovenia’s economy and its development after the country’s independence, with a special focus on the IEDC’s contribution to Slovenia’s transition through setting the standards of quality in teaching and serving as a forum, a place for discussion, networking and benchmarking. In addition, the Norwegian guests were shown also the IEDC’s art collection and presented the School’s innovative approach “creative environment for creative leadership.”

The representatives of BI Norwegian School of Management asked also numerous questions about CEEMAN (Central and East European Management Development Association), headquartered at IEDC and led by Prof. Danica Purg, and its role in management development in CEE and beyond, and decided to become regular members.
