
Dr. Melita Rant serves as an assistant professor of leadership and Director of the Two-year Executive MBA at IEDC–Bled School of Management. She received her Bachelor of Finance and Accounting, Master of Economics and Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration from the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Economics, where she also lectured on issues of organizational behavior, general management, and organizational analysis.
After several years in various business positions she moved into the academic sphere and held the position of a teaching and research assistant at the Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana, where she covered courses on General Management, Organizational Analysis, Organizational Change, and Organizational Theories. She was also actively involved in several counseling projects for Slovenian government (Ministry of the Economy, Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Culture) and Slovenian enterprises (Istrabenz, AC Holding).
As a scientist, her research has been mainly focused on studies related to personal and organizational development, covering scientific areas of co-evolution and complexity theory, organizational development and change, organizational identity and culture, decision making and cognition. At IEDC she is working on personal and leadership development activities with a goal of integrating not only science but also art into them. She is an active member of two international scientific associations of European Academy of Management and European Group for Organizational Studies, as well as of Slovenian Academy of Management.
