Walravens Arnold

Arnold WalrawensDr. Arnold Walravens is Professor Emeritus of Economic Sociology at the University of Technology, Delft, The Netherlands where he also served as the dean of the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Technology, Twente, the Netherlands and served as faculty member at the Free University of Amsterdam. He is author of five books and more than 90 articles. He has recently co-authored a new book titled, Leaders And Teams – The Winning Partnership, jointly written by well-known professors of leadership: Danica Purg, Pierre Casse, Lynn Isabella, and Paul Claudel.

As UNDP/ILO consultant he was active in several countries with economies in development or transition, dealing mainly with privatization issues.

Prof. Walravens is President of the Supervisory Board of Eureko BV, Sneep Industries, and member of the supervisory board of Rabobank and Atag. He was on the boards of multinationals as CSM and Wolters-Kluwer and served as President of the Board of Connexxion, the largest personal transport company in the Netherlands.

Since 1993 Dr. Walravens is Academic Director of the Presidents' MBA Program at the IEDC – Bled School of Management and since 2001 a member of the Senate of Faculty of Postgraduate Studies at the same institution. He teaches the courses of Corporate Governance in EMBA and General Management Programs at IEDC – Bled School of Management.

He is also director-owner of “Aan de Oude Delft”, Art and Auction Services.
