Nick Binedell is a Professor at the Gordon Institute of Business Science of the University of Pretoria. He was the founding Dean of the school from 2000 – 2015.

Nick has been a visiting scholar at The Erasmus University’s Rotterdam School of Management for the last 25 years and received his PHD in the field of strategy at the University of Washington in 1990 in Seattle. He subsequently became the director of Wits Business school and was later invited (2000) to establish the Gordon Institute of Business Science. His field of expertise is Strategic Leadership. He is a consultant, speaker and lecturer primarily in South Africa and has a been a non-executive director on a number of public company boards. In 2015 the Academy of International Business (AIB) elected him as their Global Educator of the Year. He was born in Zimbabwe and lived in 6 countries by the time he was 10 years old. He has one daughter, Jordan, who resides in London.
He is a resident of Cape Town, South Africa.
