Maja Rojšek, university graduate in Sociology of Human Resource Management, is the Human Resources Director at Medis Group d.o.o. and a Member of the Management Board of Medis.

She has dedicated more than 23 years of her career to the HR field, and for the past eleven years she has been leading the HR department responsible for managing and developing HR functions across 13 companies within the Medis Group. Before joining Medis, she built her career at Mladinska knjiga and Coca-Cola HBC Slovenia.

Together with her team, she covers the areas of recruitment, development, training and employee rewards, occupational safety, health and well-being, employer branding, and the continuous improvement and development of HR processes.

Her team received the “HR Team of the Year” award in 2023, presented by GV Planet and the Slovenian HR Association, and in 2025 the German-Slovenian Chamber of Commerce Award for best HR practice and an excellent working environment.

At Medis, great attention is devoted to relationships, a healthy work environment, well-being, and the development of over 400 employees. Numerous initiatives are organized for staff, such as the Month of Physical and Mental Health, Medis Screening (preventive health programs), continuous learning opportunities, and campaigns promoting physical activity and healthy lifestyles. Employees benefit from flexible working hours, hybrid work options, regular meetings with managers and HR, and regular satisfaction and engagement surveys. All of this confirms that employees and their well-being and development are at the core of Medis’s HR activities.

She is also an active member of AmCham’s Committee for the Future of Work and Education and a frequent speaker, sharing good HR practices with peers as a guest lecturer and panelist at universities and HR events.
