In October 2025, IEDC – Bled School of Management, in cooperation with the Ministry of Health of Slovenia and the European Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA), hosted a high-level conference at the Brdo Congress Centre, bringing together more than 100 participants. The event featured keynote contributions from Marina Zanchi, Director of HaDEA, a European expert, together with senior representatives of the Ministry of Health of Slovenia and national experts from professional associations, organizations, and academia. Participants included representatives of national ministries, research organizations, healthcare providers, and the innovation industry. Discussions focused on how Slovenia can better leverage EU programs such as EU4Health, Horizon Europe, and Digital Europe to accelerate health innovation and digital transformation.
Key messages emphasized the importance of linking European funding opportunities with national priorities, promoting cross-sector participation, and ensuring that project results lead to measurable improvements for patients and healthcare systems.
IEDC positioned itself as a knowledge hub and connector between academia, business, and policy. Within IEDC, the BILDAI Institute develops projects in the field of artificial intelligence, with its research team soon to publish an article in one of the world’s leading medical journals. IEDC is also establishing a Center for Strategic Partnerships and Project Management to further strengthen its role in European collaborations and consortia.
