Macedonia (Skopje) 9-10 June 2015: Among five great finalists: Croatia Insurance, ONE, NLB, Atlantic Grupa and Faculty of Economics; the jury decided that the winning team of IEDC Case Study Competition is the one from Atlantic Grupa.
Five teams representing some of the leading Macedonian companies participated in a two-day IEDC Case Study Competition (CSC), organized by IEDC Alumni Club Macedonia and IEDC. After all teams (Croatia Insurance, ONE, NLB, Atlantic Grupa and Faculty of Economics) presented their final solutions of the business case, Prof.Danny Szpiro, who serves as a EMBA program director at IEDC-Bled School of Management, who led the competition, announced that the winning team is the one from Atlantic Grupa.
The winning team stressed: "It was a great challenge to work in such a short time. What helped us a lot was that we had a really cross-functional team. The first day when working on a case we were fighting until 9p.m. and then got tired of that and finally started working on a presentation. Our advice for the next year participants: Stay focused, work together, be constructive and spend time debating the problem. Also, try to avoid at looking at a case through "the glasses" of your company and industry."
The winning team will be awarded with a three days’ participation in the “MBA elective course” and will try its strengths against the winning teams from other countries in the Global IEDC Case Study Competition.
