The EQUAL4EUROPE project is established by a consortium of six European academic institutions, which is besides IEDC consisting of ESADE (Spain), Erasmus University Rotterdam (Netherlands), Comenius University in Bratislava (Slovakia), ESMT Berlin (Germany), INSEAD (France), as well as an independent consultancy firm, NEHEM BV (Netherlands) to contribute to gender equality in science.

We are working on developing free knowledge, tools and best practices for AHMSSBL (Arts, Humanities, Medical, Social Science, Business, Law) institutions related to:

  1. Removing barriers to the recruitment, retention and career progression of female researchers;

  2. Addressing gender imbalances in decision making processes; and,

  3. Integrating the gender dimension in research and innovation content.

Over the next four years the six institutions will develop and implement tailored Gender Equality Plans (GEPs) in order to realize sustainable cultural and institutional change, an impartial (impact) assessment will be developed and executed, and a network for GE officers from AHMSSBL institutions will be established.

The partners are all working together with each other, each contributing specific expertise to the project with the IEDC leading the work on gender equality in leadership. You are welcome to watch a short video by the IEDC President, Prof. Purg on why gender equality is important not only for IEDC, but for all management schools and companies: https://equal4europe.eu/2020/11/23/equal4europe-endorsement-video-iedc/.
