In 2012 IEDC-Bled School of Management established it's 15th Alumni Club - in South Africa. With this establishment, IEDC would like to demonstrate its determination to make a difference in future business relationships of African countries with Slovenia, Central and Eastern Europe and Europe in general. IEDC has long tradition of alumni clubs, since first three clubs were established in 1992. IEDC Alumni Clubs are designed to offer a chance to connect, exchange ideas, and share intellectual, social, and career opportunities.

One of such activites was  carried out by IEDC Alumni Club Africa in Cape Town on October 15. Members of the club and Prof. Danica Purg, IEDC, President, discussed the further activities. On that occasion  Prof. Derek Abell, former Dean of IMD Lausanne, hold the lecture titled: “Making a career in leadership: not everybody's cup of tea."
