Prof. Guillermo D'Andrea is Professor of Business Administration at IAE –School of Business, Universidad Austral in Argentina since 1982, where he teaches Marketing. He specializes in Services Marketing and International Marketing. He chairs Marketing since 1985. In 1993 and 1994 he was awarded Best Professor by the MBA students. His fields of research deal with the Process of Internationalisation of Companies, Services Marketing and Retail Strategy.
He teaches at the Retail Management Seminar at Babson College, and has been visiting professor at the Instituto Internacional San Telmo -Seville, Spain-, and the Darden Graduate School of Business Administration of the University of Virginia, teaching International Marketing, the IEDC-Bled School of Management –Slovenia-, and at ISEDE -Uruguay-, where he teaches General Marketing. He has also been invited to teach at the Harvard Business School, IESE -Barcelona-, Inalde –Colombia-, PADE -Lima, Perú-, IPADE -Mexico-, INCAE -Costa Rica and Panama-, CAES -Paraguay-, and San Pablo University and ISE – Brazil.
He has written more than thirty cases and reading materials on his special fields. He is author of many articles among them coauthor with Harvard Professor John Quelch of “Cases in Marketing Management – Business Strategies in Latin America”, published by Prentice Hall in 2000 (English), and its updated Spanish version published in 2001.
He is a member of the American Marketing Association, the Academy of Marketing Science, co-founder of the Argentine Chapter of IAMA –International Agribusiness Management Association-, and has served as director of the Argentine Marketing Association.
Prof. D’Andrea combines his academic activity with intense consulting work through Latin America, having collaborated with companies in different fields –retailing, textiles, pharmaceutical, medical services, steel, wine, food manufacturing and distribution, printing, construction and cement - both domestic and multinationals.
