Prof. Wolfgang Ketter is a leading expert in digital transformation, fintech innovation,
and sustainable energy markets. He is Professor of Information Systems
at the University of Cologne, Director of the Erasmus Centre for Future Energy
Business and a Fellow of the German National Academy of Science and Engineering
(acatech). His research and teaching explore how artificial intelligence,
blockchain and digital platforms reshape global markets, with a particular focus
on financial technology, energy trading and the intersection of data-driven business
models with sustainability goals.

He has advised the European Commission, the German Federal Government
and multinational corporations on digital market design and the future of financial
and energy systems. His work has been published in leading journals such
as MIS Quarterly, Information Systems Research, and Artificial Intelligence in
Finance.
