Božič began his professional career as a tax advisor at one of the
international "Big 4" consulting firms and continued at a local
consulting firm, where he expanded his activities to the field of finance and
accounting. In 2014, he was elected to the National Assembly of the Republic of
Slovenia, where he focused primarily on public finance. He was twice appointed
State Secretary responsible for the tax system at the Ministry of Finance of
the Republic of Slovenia and once State Secretary responsible for the labor
market and pension system at the Ministry of Labor, Family, Social Affairs and
Equal Opportunities. Since returning to the private sector, he has been
involved in consulting services for corporate restructuring, growth, and
succession, and has collaborated with international organizations in the field
of public finance, with a particular focus on the tax system.
