Vojo Jovičić
ex-owner of Kov d.o.o.
Vojo Jovičić founded KOV d.o.o. in 1995, building on decades of experience in the metal industry. He began his professional journey in the Jesenice steelworks, later passing on his technical knowledge as a teacher at the local technical high school. After careful consideration, he established his own locksmith and maintenance workshop, initially focusing on slaughterhouse maintenance in Jesenice.
Over time, he expanded his business by partnering with construction companies and participating in major hotel renovation projects in Bled and Kranjska Gora. What began as a small workshop in a garage in Zgornji Plavž grew steadily. Together with his team, he moved into more professional premises on Cesta železarjev, transforming the operation into KOV d.o.o., employing three people at the time.
Under his leadership, the company experienced continuous growth. By 2015, KOV had over 60 employees and completed the revitalization of the old cold rolling mill and wire-drawing facility, expanding its operations by an additional 5,000 m² of modernized space. KOV became a key regional player in metal construction and fabrication.
In 2024, the company entered a new chapter when ownership was taken over by the Kolektor Group, which continues to expand KOV’s capacity and development.
