Since making Bled its home in 2000, IEDC has been committed to preserving and revitalizing architectural landmarks that contribute to the town’s cultural and historical identity. Over the years, the school has carefully restored three remarkable buildings – Vila Mežakla, Vila Nelly, and Vila Mon Repos. Once in poor condition, these properties have been transformed into vibrant spaces that enrich both the campus and the wider community.
At IEDC, learning extends beyond the classroom. The campus serves not only as a center for management education but also as an art gallery and a place where leadership is inspired by art, culture, and human creativity. This philosophy continues to shape the school's vision for the future.
Driven by a commitment to innovation and the creation of spaces where new ideas can flourish, IEDC acquired and renovated its fourth building – the historic Sokolski dom.
Built around 1930 by the people of Bled, Sokolski dom is an outstanding example of modernist architecture. For decades, it served as a gathering place for cultural events, community activities, and physical education. IEDC is dedicated to preserving this legacy while giving the building a renewed purpose for future generations.
The vision for Sokolski dom is clear: to remain a place where people come together to learn, create, perform, collaborate, and innovate. The venue will host educational, business, and cultural events, while also being available to companies, institutions, and organizations seeking a unique and inspiring gathering space in Bled.
A special thank you goes to the Money Motion team for choosing IEDC and Sokolski dom as the venue for the first Money Talks conference in Bled. We are honored that such a forward-looking event became the very first to open this new chapter in the building’s history.
With the addition of Sokolski dom, IEDC has gained more than just another building. More importantly, Bled has regained a revitalized landmark that will serve both the local and international community for years to come.
And this is only the beginning.
Stay tuned for the official opening of Sokolski dom, coming soon.
