Brdo pri Kranju, September 7, 2022: IEDC – Bled School of Management partnered with Slovenian Sovereign Holding in organizing an Educational Event: A holistic view on the transition to a net zero company. Prof. Arnold Smit, an extraordinary Associate Professor in Business in Society at the University of Stellenbosch Business School and Visiting Professor at IEDC - Bled School of Management contributed to the event by giving a lecture on Sustainability Governance in Practice.
The guests were addressed also by State Secretary of the Ministry of Infrastructure, Ms. Tina Seršen and Mr. Žiga Debeljak, President of SSH Management Board.
In the second and third part of the event, sustainability business experts from PwC, Erato Panayiotou and Petr Dovolil, gave a comprehensive overview of the EU regulatory landscape in the field of climate action, relevant standards, the role of governance and oversight bodies, and the transition to carbon neutrality in practice.
At the end of the session, the speakers were joined by two other Slovenian experts, Mag. Tomaž Fatur from the Inštitut Jožef Stefan and Mateja Treven, CFA, from the start-up, Blockchapp.
