Sofia (Bulgaria) and Bled, Slovenia (15 - 16 June 2016): Three teams representing some of the leading Bulgarian companies and organizations participated in a two-day IEDC Case Study Competition (CSC), organized by IEDC Alumni Club Bulgaria. The winning team is the one from Devin JSC.
Three teams representing some of the leading companies and organizations in Bulgaria participated in a two-day IEDC Case Study Competition (CSC), organized by IEDC Alumni Club Bulgaria.
All teams (HPE Technology Services, Enterprise Group; Kamenitza; Devin JSC) presented their final solutions of the business case. The case was focused on defining strategy. Dr. Randy Kudar, Professor Emeritus at the Richard Ivey School of Business, The University of Western Ontario, London, Canada, and visiting professor at IEDC–Bled School of Management, who led the competition and also gave an open lecture - MBA for a Day - titled 'Discovering the Future', announced that the winner is the leading bottled natural water brand in Bulgaria: Devin JSC.
Dr. Kudar said: "Participants of the CSC were very impressive; they worked hard; they worked as teams; gained insight; listened to feedback and continually worked to complete the task. All teams came up with the innovative ideas and approaches."
Member of the winning team Mr. Ivan Dudov stressed: "Case study competition is a valuable and unforgettable experience, because it does not only require efficient teamwork, but teaches you also how to analyse, how to think strategically and how to stick to the time frame. I would recommend CSC to all future participants!"
Iva Ivanova, jury member, commented: "All teams were very motivated."
The award for winning the Case Study Competition is a 3-day elective course for the whole team in MBA Program that will take place on 22-24 September 2016 in Bled.
