Kathrin Moeslein

University of Erlangen-Nürnberg in Leipzig Graduate School of Management, Germany

Kathrin M. Moeslein is professor of information systems and research dean at the School of Business and Economics at the University Erlangen-Nuremberg. She holds the Chair for Information Systems I - Innovation & Value Creation at the University’s Institute of Information Systems. Kathrin is also a professor of management and member of the team of directors at the Center for Leading Innovation & Cooperation (CLIC) at HHL - Leipzig Graduate School of Management. In addition, she serves as Associate and Visiting International Fellow at the UK’s Advanced Institute of Management Research (AIM), London, and member of the advisory boards of the Peter Pribilla Foundation at the Technische Universität München (TUM) and the Cambridge Service Alliance (CSA) at the University of Cambridge. She has been researching, teaching and consulting in the field of strategic innovation and innovation systems since the early 1990s. Her current research focuses on innovation, cooperation and leadership systems.

Kathrin M. Moeslein holds a MSc in computer science from the Technische Universität München (TUM), a doctorate in business management as well as a “Habilitation” in strategy from TUM Business School. From 2003 to 2005, Kathrin joined London Business School as associate director of the UK’s Advanced Institute of Management Research (AIM). From 2005 to 2007, she held the Chair for Strategic Management and Organization at HHL – Leipzig Graduate School of Management and served as academic director of the School’s Entrepreneurship Program.

She is a founding member and Vice President of the European Academy of Manage-ment (EURAM), a member of the Executive Committee of the German National Research Group for Computer-Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW) within the German Computer Society (GI) and has been a founding member and representative at large of the Special Interest Group on ‘Innovation & Knowledge’ of the Strategic Management Society (SMS). In addition she is a member of several scientific and professional organizations in the field of strategic management and information systems.
